19th October 18XX
Papa has invited Professor Ingram to stay with us next week. The professor has recently returned from some scholastic venture in Cairo and promises to bring with him a mummified body— an ancient Egyptian princess, he says!— for us to unwrap. It sounds rather gruesome in writing, but I am quite looking forward to it. My friend Lydia shall be joining us, of course, which means her brother, Edward, shall be here too.

This was quite neat! I liked the storytelling and mystery. The art style is so lovely (I too, love Mato's Pokespe art)

(copying from my jam comment)

Wow!! What an incredibly cool game. I'm incredibly impressed by the GBC constraints - you used the medium well, and the graphics and music work great - especially the rendering of the mask. The writing is also particularly stand-out - you've got a narrative style that really feels like a period piece. This could easily be a real work of gothic horror, especially with the pacing and mounting dread.

Well done!!
